Meet Your Tutor

Michelle Uvieghara

Michelle has over six years of tutoring and teaching experience. Originally from Florida, she graduated in the top 2% of her high school class and her dual Wellness in Medicine and Biomedical Sciences program. She then attended New York University on a merit-based scholarship, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Sociology.

This past year, driven by her passion for education, she worked with AmeriCorps in a teaching and tutoring program that paired her with a middle school in Jersey City to teach math. In the coming year, she plans to pursue her Master’s degree in Biomedical sciences before attending medical school.

Throughout the years, Michelle has seen the immense value of one-on-one tutoring, from her time in high school and college to her most recent teaching role. She recognizes how easily students can fall through the cracks without individual support, or how much they can benefit from a personalized, tailored plan. Her tutoring is designed to help both struggling students who need extra support and high achievers looking to go above and beyond—which is exactly why she started. With her rich background in a variety of subjects and experience across different age groups, she is ready to help you or your student reach their full potential.
